CARDBOARD/FIBERBOARD

Cardboard/Fiberboard is one of the most common materials processed with die cutting. Cardboard is a generic term for a heavy-duty paper of various strengths, ranging from a simple arrangement of a single layer sheet of paper to complex configurations featuring multiple corrugated and un-corrugated layers.

Applications

  • Automotive Door Inserts
  • Seat Back Stiffeners
  • Cargo and Truck Liner Components

ADHESIVE BACKED MATERIALS

To create an Adhesive Backed Material such as labels, tapes, decals, etc..., a coating of adhesive is applied to the backing of a material. In the case of rolled Adhesive Backed Material, such as Flocked Tape. This is done to keep the material from sticking together prior to using.

Applications

  • Window Stickers
  • Automotive Headliners
  • Logo Decals
  • Electrical Wiring
  • Engine / Pump Gaskets

RUBBER

Cutting rubber gaskets with die cutting is the most efficient and cost effective way to create gaskets. Gaskets are a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more surfaces. Gaskets come in many different designs based on industrial usage, budget, chemical contact and physical parameters.

Applications

  • Sheet Gaskets
  • Solid Material Gaskets
  • Pump Gaskets
  • Electric Motor Gaskets
  • Gasoline Engine Seals

NON-WOVENS

Non-Wovens are material-like fabrics. Used to make products such as, surgical gowns, gloves, automotive filtration, etc.. A good examples of a Non-Woven material is felt. They can lack sufficient strength without use of a reinforced or densified backing.

Applications

  • Engine Filtration
  • Automotive Padding
  • Water, Coffee, Tea Bags
  • Electric Motor Gaskets
  • Geotextiles

PLASTIC

Plastic is a very useful material when die cut. This allows us to produce items such as: plastic stiffeners, plastic holddowns and plastic letters. Plastic comes in many different varieties and is found in almost any product that you come across. Due to their relatively low cost, ease of manufacture, versatility, and imperviousness to water, plastics are used in an enormous and expanding range of products, from paper clips to

Applications

  • Plastic Letters
  • Plastic Stiffeners
  • Plastic Shapes
  • Plastic Hold Downs

CLOTH / TEXTILES

Textiles consist of a network of artificial or natural fibers. Typically produced by crocheting, knotting, weaving, etc... Fabric and Cloth are commonly used when tailoring and dressmaking. Fabric and Cloth are both synonymous with textile assembly.

Applications

  • Automotive Interiors
  • Cleaning
  • Panting Supplies
  • Clothing Production

Applications

  • Door Fabric Inserts
  • Car Seat Inserts
  • BSR Patches
  • NVH Patches
  • Flocked Tape
  • Padding

FOAM

Foam is among the best material to die cut as it has many applications. Foam seals are the most common item cut from foam and benefits from the accuracy of die cutting.
